The number of active job postings in the Leisure and Arts sector of United States decreased by 4.13% MoM, and decreased by 11.87% since October 2023, reaching 171,127 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 69,930 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 3.51% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 77,299 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 4.43% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 12.66% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 20.35%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 4.41%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 4.13% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 7.3%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 76,001, number of jobs closed stood at 86,013 and number of active jobs stood at 182,676.
