On the other hand, the month of December 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 15 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $54.5 million during that month.
Of the 123 deals, the deal secured between AustralianSuper Pty Ltd; Conyers Trust Company (Cayman) Limited; Global Infrastructure Management; IFM Investors Pty Ltd; QSuper Limited and Sydney Airport Holdings Limited, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Asia-Pacific Transportation, Infrastructure and Logistics sector, which was valued at $23,652.5 million and was completed on July 4, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec; Transurban Group and Sydney Motorway Corp Pty Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Boyu Capital Consultancy Co. Ltd; Hillhouse Capital Group; Sequoia Capital China; SIG-China; Tencent Holdings Ltd and PT Global Jet Express. The Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec; Transurban Group-Sydney Motorway Corp Pty Ltd deal and the Boyu Capital Consultancy Co. Ltd; Hillhouse Capital Group; Sequoia Capital China; SIG-China; Tencent Holdings Ltd-PT Global Jet Express deal were valued at $8,063.3 million and $2,500.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Alibaba Group Holding Ltd; B Capital Group; Geopost; Monk Hill Ventures; Zamrud Sovereign Wealth Fund-Ninja Logistics Pte Ltd valued at $578.0 million, whereas the deal between The Carlyle Group Inc.-Hyundai Glovis Co Ltd valued at $507.4 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $35,301.1 million and accounted for nearly 84.71% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 32.47% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 16.97% of the total deal size on a global scale.
