The number of active job postings in the Leisure and Arts sector of Hong Kong decreased by 41.63% MoM, and decreased by 64.18% since October 2023, reaching 1,050 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 464 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 22.15% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,213 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 33.64% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 30.43% and the number of jobs closed increased by 72.06%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 11.39%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 28.98% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 19.83%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 753, number of jobs closed stood at 1,233 and number of active jobs stood at 2,202.
