Malaysia: Job Trends in the Transport and Logistics Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Transport and Logistics sector of Malaysia decreased by 10.8% MoM, and decreased by 7.73% since October 2023, reaching 776 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 146 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 17.98% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 240 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 20.6% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 31.46% and the number of jobs closed increased by 26.98%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 11.83%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 2.65% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 8.29%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 195, number of jobs closed stood at 205 and number of active jobs stood at 844.
