The number of active job postings in the Leisure and Arts sector of the Middle East and Africa region decreased by 12.12% MoM, and decreased by 9.64% since October 2023, reaching 10,688 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 3,500 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 0.81% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 4,974 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 72.89% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 17.08% and the number of jobs closed increased by 30.14%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 6.05%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 3.32% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 9.18%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 3,643, number of jobs closed stood at 3,829 and number of active jobs stood at 11,561.
