South and Central America: Job Trends in the Transport and Logistics Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Transport and Logistics sector of the South and Central America region decreased by 15.33% MoM, and decreased by 4.15% since October 2023, reaching 1,961 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 793 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 33.86% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,148 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 10.38% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 24.55% and the number of jobs closed increased by 59.89%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 8.96%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 1.4% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 16.93%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 1,047, number of jobs closed stood at 985 and number of active jobs stood at 2,120.
