The number of active job postings in the Transport and Logistics sector of United Kingdom decreased by 5.57% MoM, and decreased by 28% since October 2023, reaching 4,358 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,391 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 5.95% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,648 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 24.61% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 50.55% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 24.33%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 20.92%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 10.37% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 8.88%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 1,977, number of jobs closed stood at 2,242 and number of active jobs stood at 5,087.
