On the other hand, the month of October 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 12 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $123.4 million during that month.
Of the 98 deals, the deal secured between AustralianSuper Pty Ltd; Conyers Trust Company (Cayman) Limited; Global Infrastructure Management; IFM Investors Pty Ltd; QSuper Limited and Sydney Airport Holdings Limited, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Asia-Pacific Travel and Tourism sector, which was valued at $23,652.5 million and was completed on July 4, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Alibaba Group Holding Ltd; Beijing Yingtong Technology Co., Ltd.; Changan Automobile Co Ltd; China FAW Group Co Ltd; CITIC Ltd; Dezaihou Capital; Dongfeng Motor Corp; Hongwei Capital; Redview Capital L.P.; Tencent Investment; Tongcheng Travel; Virtue Capital and Nanjing Lingxing Technology Co., Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between EMART Inc; GIC Pte Ltd and Starbucks Coffee Korea Co., Ltd.. The Alibaba Group Holding Ltd; Beijing Yingtong Technology Co., Ltd.; Changan Automobile Co Ltd; China FAW Group Co Ltd; CITIC Ltd; Dezaihou Capital; Dongfeng Motor Corp; Hongwei Capital; Redview Capital L.P.; Tencent Investment; Tongcheng Travel; Virtue Capital-Nanjing Lingxing Technology Co., Ltd deal and the EMART Inc; GIC Pte Ltd-Starbucks Coffee Korea Co., Ltd. deal were valued at $1,205.6 million and $696.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between ABCI Suzhou Company; Suzhou High-Speed Rail New City Group; Suzhou Innovation Capital; Suzhou Urban Investment Company; Suzhou Xiangcheng Financial Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd.-Hangzhou Youxing Technology Co Ltd valued at $588.3 million, whereas the deal between Plum Wood Investment Ltd; Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd-ANI Technologies Pvt Ltd valued at $500.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $26,642.4 million and accounted for nearly 83.73% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 39.25% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 15.19% of the total deal size on a global scale.
