The number of active job postings in the Travel & Tourism (Travel Services) sector of the Europe region decreased by 12.23% MoM, and decreased by 17.93% since October 2023, reaching 13,196 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 4,648 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 9.92% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 6,486 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 0.14% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 29.38% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 58.9%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 10.95%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.37% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 25.65%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 6,001, number of jobs closed stood at 9,021 and number of active jobs stood at 15,169.
