The number of active job postings in the Global Travel & Tourism (Travel Services) Sector decreased by 10.65% MoM, and decreased by 17.21% since October 2023, reaching 97,918 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 34,669 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 13.06% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 46,343 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 28.65% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 18.38% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 12.03%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 6.55%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.1% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 4.18%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 36,237, number of jobs closed stood at 43,878 and number of active jobs stood at 110,184.
