The number of active job postings in the Travel & Tourism (Travel Services) sector of Hong Kong decreased by 45.7% MoM, and decreased by 67.67% since October 2023, reaching 891 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 461 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 22.39% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,211 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 33.17% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 30.47% and the number of jobs closed increased by 73.99%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 11.41%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 31.37% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 20.28%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 750, number of jobs closed stood at 1,225 and number of active jobs stood at 2,036.
