The number of active job postings in the Travel & Tourism (Travel Services) sector of Mexico decreased by 3.04% MoM, and decreased by 2.92% since October 2023, reaching 2,426 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 932 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 76.18% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,008 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 115.85% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 27.32% and the number of jobs closed increased by 52.27%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 8.38%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 0.98% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 15.04%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 711, number of jobs closed stood at 712 and number of active jobs stood at 2,466.
