The number of active job postings in the Travel & Tourism (Passenger Transportation) sector of the Middle East and Africa region decreased by 11.1% MoM, and decreased by 25.74% since October 2023, reaching 825 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 287 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 17.53% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 390 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 15.4% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 25.84% and the number of jobs closed increased by 37.81%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 9.48%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 9.44% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 11.28%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 353, number of jobs closed stood at 398 and number of active jobs stood at 976.
