Of the 58 deals, the deal secured between Take-Two Interactive Software Inc and Zynga Inc, was the largest M&A deal in the North America Travel and Tourism sector, which was valued at $12,700.0 million and was completed on January 10, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Sundown Acquisition Corp. and Spirit Airlines Inc, while the third-largest deal was between Rob Walton and Denver Broncos. The Sundown Acquisition Corp.-Spirit Airlines Inc deal and the Rob Walton-Denver Broncos deal were valued at $7,121.5 million and $4,650.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Hyatt Hotels Corp-Apple Leisure Group valued at $2,700.0 million, whereas the deal between MGM Resorts International-CityCenter Holdings, LLC valued at $2,125.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $29,296.5 million and accounted for nearly 58.88% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The North America region accounted for 47.14% of the total M&A deals done globally, and accounted for 16.83% of the total deal size on a global scale.
