In the run-up to the conference, Twitter influencer conversations around ‘#CES2023’ started piling up and recorded an 800% growth in the last 30 days (05 December 2022 – 04 January 2023) over the previous month. Against this backdrop, metaverse, virtual reality will be the key topics at CES 2023, reveals the Social Media Analytics Platform of GlobalData, a leading data and analytics platform company.
Smitarani Tripathy, Social Media Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “Metaverse, which emerged as a rising trend in the beginning of 2022, saw a continuous decline in influencer discussions throughout the year, indicating fading interest in the technology. However, this tech trend has again garnered interest among CES 2023-related conversations and become one of the leading topics of discussion with more than 1,900 mentions over the last 30 days.”
Virtual Reality
Influencers expect virtual reality (VR) to be another topic in focus in CES 2023, as VR headsets from different tech leaders such as PancakeXR, and HTC Corporation are likely to make splashes in the event. Influencers also expect other VR solutions to be revealed by the tech leaders including Sony Corporation and Canon Inc.
5G
5G is also expected to be a key topic at CES 2023, as top telecom leaders such as Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd are likely to showcase various 5G solutions to help combat climate change. Influencers are expecting the 5G solutions to provide workspace solution in a set of increasing data speed, network capacity, and uniform user experience.
