The Consumer Electronics Show (CES), an annual trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is set to be held between 05 January and 08 January 2023 in Las Vegas. In the run-up to the conference, Twitter influencer conversations around ‘#CES2023’ started piling up and recorded an 800% growth in the last 30 days (05 December 2022 – 04 January 2023) over the previous month. Against this backdrop, metaverse, virtual reality will be the key topics at CES 2023, reveals the Social Media Analytics Platform of GlobalData, a leading data and analytics platform company.

Smitarani Tripathy, Social Media Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “Metaverse, which emerged as a rising trend in the beginning of 2022, saw a continuous decline in influencer discussions throughout the year, indicating fading interest in the technology. However, this tech trend has again garnered interest among CES 2023-related conversations and become one of the leading topics of discussion with more than 1,900 mentions over the last 30 days.”
