The Share of Voice report: Top data warehousing companies on Reddit, includes an analysis on the top eight data warehousing companies, identified based on the volume of Reddit posts among popular Reddit forums on data engineering and DevOps during the April 2021 – March 2022 period, tracked by GlobalData’ Social Media Platform.

Snowflake has emerged as the most mentioned data warehousing company on Reddit, with a 35% share of Reddit mentions. The company saw 81% growth in number of posts in the last 6 months over the previous 6 months. Among the conversations on Snowflake, Databricks and Amazon Redshift were the most mentioned competitors on the basis of co-occurrence in posts, highlighting the user preference among the competition.

Other key insights in the report include:

  • Databricks is the next most mentioned data warehousing company with a 28% share of Reddit mentions. The company saw 108% growth in the number of posts in the last 6 months over the previous 6 months
  • Amazon Redshift and Firebolt have generated the highest % of positive posts among Redditors with 61% and 67% respectively

Azure Synapse saw the highest growth in Reddit mentions over the last 6 months with 119%, followed by Databricks with 108% growth in mentions.
