#TopInfluencers - Most Influential Economists on Twitter: 2022

The “Most Influential Economists on Twitter: 2022” report analysed the Twitter activity of leading economists, tracked by GlobalData’s Social Media Analytics platform for the period 1st Jan to 30th Sept 2022 and identified top 10 Most Influential among them based on GlobalData’s proprietary metric named ‘Global Score’.

Paul Krugman, an American economist, and Opinion columnist at New York Times, has ranked first among top 10 Most Influential economists with a Global Score of 100. The average reactions on his posts are approx. 1000. Saifedean Ammous, an economist and founder at saifedean.com, has ranked second among the top 10 influential economists with a global score of 90.

Other top Economists were Peter Schiff, Steve Hanke, Adam Tooze, Jason Furman, Adam Ozimek, Mohamed A. El-Erian, David Ndii and Stephanie Kelton.
