Jeff Schuster
Jeff Schuster is President, Americas Operations and Global Vehicle Forecasts at LMC Automotive. He oversees the global light vehicle analytics team and activity for both sales and production forecasting, as well as operations responsibility for the Americas region. Included in his role is the leadership and direction of detailed trend analysis at the OEM group, segment, platform, model, and plant level. In addition, he is one of the firm’s primary global automotive experts.
Mr. Schuster has been tracking and analyzing developments in the global automotive industry for more than twenty-five years and has been with LMC Automotive since its inception in 2011. He is widely quoted by the automotive media in print, internet, radio and television. He frequently makes industry conference and seminar presentations covering various topics including, the current assessment and outlook of the automotive industry.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Schuster led the automotive forecast division of J.D. Power and Associates and has experience in financial analysis and cash management in the automotive supply base.
Mr. Schuster holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a Master of Science degree in corporate finance from Walsh College. He is a board member of Society of Automotive Analysts and a member of the Automotive Press Association.
Jonathon Poskitt
Jonathon Poskitt is the Director of Global Sales Forecasts at LMC Automotive, having analytical oversight of over 130 country market forecasts. He has 20 years’ experience researching and analysing the automotive sector, focusing on key drivers including: economic environment, policy and legislation, OEM strategies, segmentation trends and broader industry shifts. Jonathon’s research has covered OEM product plans, analysing the market potential for new models, and market studies on areas such as low-cost and luxury cars. Jonathon holds an M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Oxford and a First Class Honours degree in Economics from the University of Southampton
Justin Cox
Justin is Director, Global Production, at LMC Automotive, providing the functional lead and global oversight of the company’s automotive production forecast activity. Prior to joining LMC Automotive in 2013, Justin has held key sales and commercial management positions internationally for both Johnson Controls and GKN Driveline. In addition to this, he has held traditional product marketing roles with Mazda (UK) as well as analyst and consultancy roles at RL Polk (Marketing Systems) from where he started his career.
With over 25 years of extensive automotive business experience, he has gained a ‘real world’ insight into the commercial pressures and planning challenges facing the industry throughout the Value-Chain. Justin holds a BSc degree in Economics and Human Geography from the University of Reading.
Al Bedwell
Based in Oxford, UK, Al Bedwell leads LMC Automotive’s global research in the pivotal area of powertrain and e-Mobility trends. With more than 25 years of forecasting experience in the sector, he is now positioned as respected commentator on a range of issues including the global roadmap from combustion to battery, regional strategies to enable the mobility revolution, battery sector development and the demise of diesel.
He was the prime mover behind the creation of LMCA’s model-level Global Hybrid & EV Forecast, now widely recognized as a benchmark forecast in the area of light vehicle electrification.
Al is a regular speaker at client and industry events in the automotive, energy, metals, and related sectors. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, UK. Prior to joining LMC Automotive he was a manager at automotive intelligence provider Polk Marketing Systems.
John Zeng
John Zeng is Forecasting Director, China of LMC Automotive. He is responsible for building a stronger LMC forecasting presence in the expanding Chinese market and driving revenue in the largest vehicle market in the world. Operated from Oxford, Frankfurt, Paris, Troy, Sao Paulo, Bangkok, Tokyo and Shanghai, LMC Automotive is part of the Globaldata Group, and focused solely on global light vehicle, powertrain and MD/HD vehicle market intelligence, forecasting and analysis. Mr. Zeng has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. Prior to joining LMC Automotive/Formerly J.D. Power Global Forecasting in August 2010, he was with IHS Global Insight, where he was a China Chief Market Analyst for five years, specializing in China’s automotive industry outlook, including sales/production forecasting, manufacturer model-program strategies and government policies. Previously, he worked at the Automotive Industry Office in Huizhou; Dongfeng-Honda Motor Huizhou Preparatory Office; and Ford Motor Company in China. Mr. Zeng has been a featured speaker at conferences, seminars and other automotive industry events in China, and has been a key speaker at the automotive conferences held in Shanghai, Beijing Tokyo, London, Frankfurt and Munich for the past ten years. Additionally, he is widely quoted in global media, such as Bloomberg TV, BBC, CNN, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, AFP, Deutschland Radio, Reuters and Automotive News. Also, he is frequently quoted in such domestic media as China Daily, Global Times, People’s Daily, CBN TV, Phoenix TV, Shanghai TV and China Business Week. Mr. Zeng received a bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a specialization in automotive manufacturing engineering, from the College of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hunan University, China. He received an MBA from Schulich School of Business, York University in Canada. Mr. Zeng is fluent in Mandarin and English.
