Alex WOODROW
Alex joined KGP in 1994, shortly after completing his BEng and BCom in Manufacturing Engineering and Economics at Birmingham University, adding an MSc in Automotive Systems Engineering from Loughborough University in 2008. In January 2010 he became Managing Director.
During this period KGP has delivered 100s of projects focused on powertrain and material technologies markets, technologies, legislative and industry trends in automotive and adjacent sectors. In 2005 Alex launched the Global Commercial Vehicle Powertrain Forecast a long term partnership with LMC Automotive. Subsequently in 2009 the Global Non-Road Powertrain Forecast, a partnership with Off-Highway Research. These two core services covering engine, emissions, electrification and driveline globally are provided off-the-shelf or as part of single client projects to global OEMs, Tier Ones and other stakeholders. The services help clients in development of strategic, marketing and product plans related to future ICE and decarbonised powertrains as part of the energy transition.
Kenny VIETH
Kenny joined ACT Research in 1991, became a partner at the firm in 2000 and the company’s President in 2009. Vieth oversees commercial vehicle analysis and forecasting at ACT and is the company’s principal heavy truck and trailer market analyst.
Vieth has become an advisor to the commercial vehicle OEMs and suppliers, the investment community, industry associations, trucking companies, and other affiliated businesses. In that capacity, he is a frequent presenter at industry events and is often cited in both the industry and national press.
In 2012, Vieth was named as the consulting economist to the National Private Truck Council (NPTC). In 2013, ACT became one of the 50 firms participating in the Blue-Chip Economic Indicators, winning the Lawrence Klein Award for forecasting accuracy in 2019. ACT has participated in the Wall Street Journal’s consensus economic forecast since 2014.
David LEAH
David Leah is a Senior Analyst at LMC Automotive. He joined the team over 6 years ago and currently manages the Global Bus Forecast as well as being a key member of the Light Vehicle Powertrain team with a focus on electrification. He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business as well as an MSc in International Business and Economics.
John ZENG
John Zeng is Managing Director of LMC Automotive Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. He is responsible for building a stronger LMC forecasting presence in the expanding Chinese market and driving revenue in the largest vehicle market in the world.
Mr. Zeng has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. Prior to joining J.D. Power Asia Pacific in August 2010, he was with IHS Global Insight, where he was a China Chief Market Analyst for five years, specializing in China’s automotive industry outlook, including sales/production forecasting, manufacturer model-program strategies and government policies. Previously, he worked at the Automotive Industry Office in Huizhou; Dongfeng-Honda Motor Huizhou Preparatory Office; and Ford Motor Company in China.
Mr. Zeng received a bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a specialization in automotive manufacturing engineering, from the College of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hunan University, China. He received an MBA from Schulich School of Business, York University in Canada.
Zita ZIGAN
Zita Zigan directs Global Commercial Vehicle Forecasting at LMC Automotive and has analytical oversight of the company’s suite of global heavy vehicle sales and production forecasts. Zita has over 20 years of experience in automotive forecasting. She initially worked on LMC’s World Tyre Forecast Service and has headed the Global Commercial Vehicle Forecasting team since 2003. She regularly speaks at client and industry events and writes on trends and issues affecting the global heavy vehicle sector.
Zita held a German Government Scholarship and British Academy Graduate Studentship at Oxford University. She holds a First Class Honours degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, MA (Oxon) and BPhil in Philosophy.
