Post-COVID Shale Outlook - Current Threats and Challenges to US Unconventional Production

Monday, September 27, 2021

About this Webinar

US shale production has not only recovered from its lows during Covid-19 pandemic but can still be a competitive supply of crude for domestic and international markets. Unconventional production suffered a drastic decline throughout 2020 but, as with previous price crashes, the sector has experienced consolidation and operators that were able to remain, are generally coming out more resilient with a strategy less focused on growth and centered more on efficiency and capital discipline. Furthermore, the shale sector faces additional challenges that can negatively impact its growth. Some of these come in the form of regulations that restrict permitting or fracking, and others are related to the commitment and effectiveness in fully reducing GHG emissions in shale operations.

Please join GlobalData's Webinar on Post-COVID Shale Outlook for analysis on the following subjects:
Outlook to 2025 - How will shale production grow despite lower capital expenditure?
M&A Consolidation - What have been the major deals consolidating operators' production and acreage?
Impact of Hedging - How have hedging strategies impacted the profits of some shale operators?
Ban on Oil and Gas Federal Leasing - What can be the impact of these regulations on future production growth?
Emission Reduction Strategies - How shale operators are committing to lower emission intensity and what are their main operational strategies to achieve these reduction goals?

Agentic architecture and legacy modernization in financial services: hyperscalers, incumbents, and the road ahead

Every major hyperscaler now ships a production agent platform, and pilots are running at most large institutions across banking, wealth management, and insurance. The question incumbents actually face isn't which vendor to back — it's how to let a system that plans its own execution path operate safely above a core ledger, a policy administration system, or a custodial platform that was never built to be called by anything non-deterministic. Get that wrong and you've either rebuilt the estate you spent a decade hardening, or handed a reasoning model root access to a mainframe.

Join Craig Beattie, Craig Focardi, and Dan Mayo as they unpack Celent's new research on agentic architecture and legacy modernization — why the brownfield path beats a greenfield rebuild for regulated firms, and what changes once you accept that most institutions will run several agent orchestrators at once, not one.
In this session, we'll discuss:

• Why the greenfield agentic reference architecture collapses under real compliance and core-system constraints
• The brownfield alternative: treating the agent as an intelligent client above your existing API gateway and identity plane, not a replacement for either
• Practical integration patterns — API-as-a-tool, ephemeral token exchange, compensating sagas — for wiring agents safely into legacy cores
• The multi-orchestrator reality: why the goal is a shared substrate of identity, tools, and audit, not convergence on a single platform

Beyond the platform: Flexible ways to put GlobalData intelligence to work

The intelligence your team relies on is most valuable at the point of decision and inside the tools you already use every day. This session introduces GlobalData's Direct Data Solutions (DDS): a flexible set of delivery options that help consumer teams get more from the subscriptions they already hold, from a supplier they already trust.

We will start where it matters with your data strategy and the challenges you are working through, and show how DDS can support them, from established feeds and integrations through to newer AI-native access. This is an introduction - come away with a clearer picture of what is possible and a sense of the right next step for your team.
