Alaa heads up the GlobalData Public Sector team’s coverage of the Education market segment, as well as covering IoT and Analytics technology developments in the wider public sector. With over fourteen years’ experience working as an analyst and researcher, Alaa’s background includes covering the development of a number of key technology markets, and looking at technology adoption and impact from an industry perspective, covering industries like the public sector and utilities. Prior to joining the company, Alaa completed an industrial PhD at the University of Surrey in collaboration with E.On, in which he examined innovation funding for smart grid projects, and how it was used to support the industry's digital transformation.

Rob heads up research, analysis and commentary on technology trends in central government, within the GlobalData Public Sector team. With over twenty years’ experience of public sector IT programs in a mix of private and public sector positions, Rob’s main field of expertise is in understanding the key challenges that Whitehall departments face and articulating how technology can best address those issues. A background that spans sales, technical support, commercial activity and stakeholder management on both sides of the buyer/supplier divide provides Rob with a balanced perspective in fulfilling his client advisory role. A confident public speaker, Rob has delivered keynote addresses at many industry-wide and client-specific events. His work at GlobalData has also encompassed pan-public sector projects and focused consulting engagements. These include assessing new product and service opportunities for clients and writing blog articles.

Jonathan is GlobalData Public Sector's Principal Analyst for coverage of the UK's Health and Social Care market segment. Jonathan has eight years' experience of market research and analysis with the vast majority of these years being dedicated to the global Healthcare and Life Sciences market. Jonathan's background includes customer, competitor and market research and analysis across a broad range of industry-specific technology markets such as Electronic Patient Records and Population Health Management. Prior to joining the company, Jonathan spent almost eleven years at DXC Technology (formerly CSC), a global IT solutions and services company. Jonathan has a BA (Hons) in Business and Management with Spanish from the University of Manchester.
