Alex joined GlobalData in 2022 as a Principal Research Analyst providing pricing and reimbursement, and market access analysis developments as part of the PharmOnline International (POLI) database. Prior to joining GlobalData, she worked at Beacon Intelligence, first as a lead gene therapy analyst and manager, then as a senior manager of research operations. Alex graduated from University College London (UCL) with a MSc in Pharmaceutical Formulation and Entrepreneurship in 2019, after completing a BSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology from the University of St. Andrews.

Brendan Melck is a Senior Research Analyst, specializing in Germany, Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans and Greece. He is responsible for daily updates on regulatory and business developments affecting the pharmaceutical industry, as well as in-depth reports on specific topics and markets. In the 10+ years of covering the same regions for GlobalData and its predecessor companies, he has acquired a long-term view of the specific regulatory issues affecting these markets. Previously, Brendan worked for six years as an analyst for Esmerk (now mBrain, formerly part of the Finnish Sanoma media group), covering the Polish market. Prior to that, he worked in the education sector, as a teacher of English as a foreign language. He has a BA in English and History from the University of London and is fluent in German and Polish.

Eoin leads the European team of healthcare and pharmaceutical research analysts at GlobalData, producing critical intelligence to pharma companies shaping their strategic planning and market access strategies. This includes daily analysis, country reports and strategic reports, as well as leveraging critical proprietary datasets to provide unique insights, particularly on market access and P&R themes. He holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from University College Dublin and a Master of Science degree in Health Policy and Economics from the London School of Economics. Prior to joining the Life Sciences team, Eóin worked with the Economics and Country Risk group at GlobalData. His areas of expertise include pharmaceutical regulation and healthcare policy.

Milena Izmirlieva, MSc, heads the Health Economics and Market Access research & analysis team. Her main areas of research interest are pricing and reimbursement and market access for originator drugs, the market dynamics for biosimilars and generics, heath system efficiency indicators and health system capacity, and forecasting of healthcare spending and pharmaceutical sales.
