Richard has over twenty years' experience in business information and consumer insight, and is a Principal Consumer Insight Analyst in GlobalData Consumer's trends and themes team. His specialisms center on cross-sector understanding of consumer trends and their evolution, having authored on the full breadth of FMCG, foodservice, and related topics over his career. Prior to joining GlobalData, he was a long running senior team member in Datamonitor Consumer's New Consumer Insight team, and also head of Datamonitor's Manchester-based Market Data Analytics team, focussing on the restructuring and updating of that business's FMCG data offering. Richard has been quoted in many industry and major media publications over his career, from The Grocer to CBS News. He holds a Masters Degree in Intelligence and International Relations.
