The number of active job postings in the Agriculture and Forestry sector of Canada decreased by 11.47% MoM, and decreased by 27.07% since October 2023, reaching 749 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 228 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 24.25% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 325 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 8.33% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 12.98% and the number of jobs closed increased by 45.09%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 4.53%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 9.99% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 13.21%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 272, number of jobs closed stood at 332 and number of active jobs stood at 866.
