Of the 59 deals, the deal secured between CNH Industrial NV and Raven Industries Inc, was the largest M&A deal in the North America Agriculture & Forestry sector, which was valued at $2,100.0 million and was completed on June 21, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Verano Holdings Corp and Goodness Growth Holdings Inc, while the third-largest deal was between Curaleaf Holdings Inc and Tryke Companies LLC. The Verano Holdings Corp-Goodness Growth Holdings Inc deal and the Curaleaf Holdings Inc-Tryke Companies LLC deal were valued at $413.0 million and $286.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Curaleaf Holdings Inc-Bloom Dispensaries valued at $211.0 million, whereas the deal between Gildan Activewear Inc-Phoenix Sanford, LLC valued at $168.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $3,178.0 million and accounted for nearly 58.79% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The North America region accounted for 32.25% of the total M&A deals done globally, and accounted for 20.61% of the total deal size on a global scale.
