The number of active ESG related job postings in the Global Consumer Packaged Goods Sector decreased by 13.17% MoM, and decreased by 26.74% since October 2023, reaching 40,439 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 15,648 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 2.64% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 21,782 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 10.2% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted decreased by 31.49% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 2.17%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 11.84%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 9.85% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 0.72%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 18,292, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 21,602 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 48,325.
