Levi Strauss’ Net Revenue by Segment (Q1 2017 – Q2 2022, $ Million)

  • Levi Strauss & Co. generated $1,471.1 million in revenue in Q2 2022
  • In Q1 2022, the company generated a revenue of $1,591.6 million
  • Levi generates the majority of its revenues from the Americas segment

Levi Strauss, the first company to manufacture blue jeans, generated a revenue of $1,471.1 million in Q2 2022, a decrease of nearly 8% as compared to the Q1 2022 revenue of $1,591.6 million.

Levi disaggregates its revenues into four segments: Americas, Europe, Asia, and Other brands. Revenue from the Americas segment makes up 53% of Levi’s net revenues, whereas the Europe and Asia businesses collectively contributed 40% of their net revenues and the Other brands segment made up for the remainder of the net revenues in Q2 2022.

Across all of Levi’s brands, pants – including jeans, casual pants, dress pants, shorts, skirts, and activewear – represented 68% of the total units sold in the first six months of 2022. Whereas tops – including shirts, sweaters, jackets, dresses, and jumpsuits – represented 25% of Levi’s total units sold in the first six months of 2022.

Men's products generated 64% of the net revenues in the first six months of 2022. Women's products generated 34% of the net revenues in the first six months of 2022, with the remaining 2% of their products being non-gendered. Sales from Levi’s brand products represented 87% of Levi Strauss’ total net sales in the first six months of 2022.

In the fourth quarter of 2021, Levi Strauss & Co. changed its segment reporting, integrating the Levi's Brands business (which includes Levi's, Signature by Levi Strauss & Co., and Denizen brands) and separating the Dockers business. Levi's business is defined geographically in three operating segments: Americas, Europe, and Asia. The Dockers business, which is managed separately, will no longer be reported in the three geographical regions of the  Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Therefore, there are four reportable segments: Americas, Europe, and Asia (collectively comprising the Company's Levi's Brands business) and Other Brands (which includes Dockers and the newly acquired Beyond Yoga business).
