The number of active job postings in the Consumer Packaged Goods sector of the South and Central America region decreased by 9.13% MoM, and decreased by 8.42% since October 2023, reaching 6,712 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,789 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 11.74% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 3,463 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 7.31% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 14.92% and the number of jobs closed increased by 34.85%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 5.24%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 2.89% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 10.48%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 3,164, number of jobs closed stood at 3,141 and number of active jobs stood at 7,220.
