The Hershey Co, Mars, Incorporated, Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli, and Ferrero were the top four companies in the chocolate market in the US.  

In 2020, Hershey`s, Ferrero, M & M`s, Mars, and Dove were the leading brands in the US. Hershey, a brand of The Hershey Co, had the largest market share in the chocolate market in the US. 

Chocolate includes boxed chocolates, molded chocolate bars, chocolate-covered bars whether in single bars or bite-sized versions sold in multipacks, seasonal novelties, and local specialties. Chocolate Includes milk chocolate and excludes cooking chocolate.

Mars, Incorporated was the second-largest chocolate maker in the US in 2020 

Mars, Incorporated held the second-largest stake in the chocolate market share in the region and was a close competitor of The Hershey Co. M & M`s, Mars, Dove, and Snickers were the leading brands of Mars, Incorporated in the region during the period.  

Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli was the third-largest chocolate market in 2020 

The company held a significant market share in the US chocolate market. Lindt, Russell Stover, and Ghirardelli were the major brands of the company. The company reported a low single-digit YoY growth in 2020.
