Belgium: Job Trends in the Financial Services Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Financial Services sector of Belgium decreased by 25.05% MoM, and decreased by 29.65% since October 2023, reaching 814 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 189 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 37.42% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 461 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 24.93% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 41.3% and the number of jobs closed increased by 58.97%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 16.27%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 11.06% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 16.71%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 280, number of jobs closed stood at 358 and number of active jobs stood at 1,052.
