Philippines: Job Trends in the Financial Services Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Financial Services sector of Philippines decreased by 36.17% MoM, and decreased by 36.9% since October 2023, reaching 3,228 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 780 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 2.74% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,609 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 174.92% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 28.31% and the number of jobs closed increased by 82.83%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 10.5%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 14.23% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 22.28%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 926, number of jobs closed stood at 1,483 and number of active jobs stood at 4,651.
