On the other hand, the month of June 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 339 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $40.5 million during that month.
Of the 40,150 deals, the deal secured between Brookfield Asset Management Inc and HomeServe Plc, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Global Financial Services sector, which was valued at $5,832.3 million and was completed on May 19, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Thoma Bravo LP and Bottomline Technologies Inc, while the third-largest deal was between Blackstone Inc and Corebridge Financial Inc. The Thoma Bravo LP-Bottomline Technologies Inc deal and the Blackstone Inc-Corebridge Financial Inc deal were valued at $2,704.7 million and $2,200.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Andra AP-fonden; AustralianSuper Pty Ltd; Aware Super Pty Ltd; CBRE Caledon Capital Management Inc; Harbert Management Corp; QIC Ltd; Railways Pension Trustee Company Limited; Wellcome Trust-Generate Capital Inc valued at $2,000.0 million, whereas the deal between Advent International Corp; Centerbridge Partners LP; TowerBrook Capital Partners LP-Aareal Bank AG valued at $1,978.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $14,715.0 million and accounted for nearly 8.10% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 47.01% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $84,592.0 million, which accounted for 40.95% of the total deal size on a global scale.
