On the other hand, the month of March 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 71 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $29.4 million during that month.
Of the 756 deals, the deal secured between JD.com.Fang; Shanghai Weihao Chuangxin Investment Management Co., Ltd. and Horizon Robotics Inc, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Asia-Pacific driven by Artificial Intelligence, which was valued at $1,500.0 million and was completed on June 11, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Bosch Rexroth AG; Cathay Capital (China); General Motors Co; GGV Jiyuan Capital; IDG Capital; Mercedes-Benz Vans; SAIC Motor Corp Ltd; Shunwei Capital Partners; Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd; Tencent Holdings Ltd; Toyota Motor Corp; YF Capital and Momenta.ai, while the third-largest deal was between B Capital Group Management, L.P.; Baillie Gifford & Co; Carlyle Asia Partners Growth II; Qatar Investment Authority; Siguler Guff & Company, LP; Sofina Group and Verse Innovation Pvt Ltd. The Bosch Rexroth AG; Cathay Capital (China); General Motors Co; GGV Jiyuan Capital; IDG Capital; Mercedes-Benz Vans; SAIC Motor Corp Ltd; Shunwei Capital Partners; Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd; Tencent Holdings Ltd; Toyota Motor Corp; YF Capital-Momenta.ai deal and the B Capital Group Management, L.P.; Baillie Gifford & Co; Carlyle Asia Partners Growth II; Qatar Investment Authority; Siguler Guff & Company, LP; Sofina Group-Verse Innovation Pvt Ltd deal were valued at $500.0 million and $450.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Bosch; Carlyle Group; China Arab Investment Funds; GAC Group-WeRide.ai valued at $400.0 million, whereas the deal between CDB Capital Co., Ltd.; China Internet Investment Fund; Goldstone Investment Group Ltd; IDG Capital; InnoVision Capital - China; Legend Capital Co Ltd; Shang Qi Capital-Beijing ESWIN Technology Group Co Ltd valued at $392.3 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $3,242.3 million and accounted for nearly 14.97% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 19.76% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 24.73% of the total deal size on a global scale.
