The number of active ESG related job postings in the Asia-Pacific region driven by ESG decreased by 11.49% MoM, and decreased by 20.79% since October 2023, reaching 86,358 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 33,518 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 1.65% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 44,724 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 4.07% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 25.36% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 0.6%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 9.29%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 7.48% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 0.2%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 39,308, number of jobs closed stood at 44,998 and number of active jobs stood at 99,851.
