The number of active Internet of Things related job postings in the Asia-Pacific region driven by Internet of Things decreased by 7.45% MoM, and decreased by 11.09% since October 2023, reaching 6,686 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,994 new Internet of Things related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 9.03% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,532 Internet of Things related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 4.76% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 9.61% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 2.39%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Internet of Things related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 3.31%, the number of active Internet of Things related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 3.84% and the number of Internet of Things related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 0.8%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 2,199, number of jobs closed stood at 2,505 and number of active jobs stood at 7,219.
