The number of active job postings in Colombia decreased by 5.04% MoM, and decreased by 22.68% since October 2023, reaching 7,972 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,385 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 10.94% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,808 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 37.93% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 46.69% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 20.41%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 18.92%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 8.22% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 7.33%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 3,380, number of jobs closed stood at 3,728 and number of active jobs stood at 9,229.
