In the LTM period, April 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $7,169.7 million, resulting in an average deal value of $52.3 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of January 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 193 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $25.9 million during that month.
Of the 1,874 deals, the deal secured between Bodhi Tree; Reliance Projects & Property Management Services Limited and Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the India, which was valued at $1,741.5 million and was completed on April 27, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Qatar Investment Authority and Bodhi Tree, while the third-largest deal was between Partners Group Holding AG and Atria Convergence Technologies Pvt. Ltd.. The Qatar Investment Authority-Bodhi Tree deal and the Partners Group Holding AG-Atria Convergence Technologies Pvt. Ltd. deal were valued at $1,500.0 million and $1,200.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between ADQ; The Rise Fund-Tata Motors Ltd valued at $995.3 million, whereas the deal between D1 Capital Partners; DST Global; Falcon Edge India; Footpath Ventures; RedBird Capital Partners LLC; Tiger Global Management LLC; TPG Capital LP-Sporta Technologies Pvt Ltd valued at $840.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $6,276.8 million and accounted for nearly 10.69% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
