On the other hand, the month of March 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 17 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $9.5 million during that month.
Of the 121 deals, the deal secured between Andalusian Private Capital LP; Insight Partners and Moon Active Ltd., was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Middle East and Africa driven by Digital Media, which was valued at $300.0 million and was completed on November 23, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Sanabil Investments; SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Unifonic, while the third-largest deal was between Cambridge Capital Group LLC; GLP Ventures; Insight Partners; Next47 Inc.; Pereg Ventures LLC; Salesforce Ventures; Shmuel Harlap; Viola Growth and Bringg Delivery Technologies Ltd. The Sanabil Investments; SoftBank Vision Fund 2-Unifonic deal and the Cambridge Capital Group LLC; GLP Ventures; Insight Partners; Next47 Inc.; Pereg Ventures LLC; Salesforce Ventures; Shmuel Harlap; Viola Growth-Bringg Delivery Technologies Ltd deal were valued at $125.0 million and $100.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between ACCEL Corp; Eight Roads Ventures; Intel Capital Corp; Lumira Capital Investment Management Inc-Workey Employees Recruitments Ltd valued at $90.0 million, whereas the deal between Lightspeed Ventures, Pvt. Ltd.; Nyca Partners; Sequoia Capital (Israel); Thoma Bravo LP; Viola Ventures; Warburg Pincus LLC-Personetics Technologies Ltd valued at $85.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $700.0 million and accounted for nearly 37.86% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Middle East and Africa region accounted for 1.43% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 4.28% of the total deal size on a global scale.
