On the other hand, the month of November 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 11 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $82.5 million during that month.
Of the 78 deals, the deal secured between Corporation Service Co and Intertrust N.V., was the largest M&A deal in the Netherlands, which was valued at $2,900.6 million and was completed on December 6, 2021. The second-largest deal was between The Goldman Sachs Group Inc and NN Investment Partners Holdings N.V., while the third-largest deal was between DP World Ltd and Syncreon Group BV. The The Goldman Sachs Group Inc-NN Investment Partners Holdings N.V. deal and the DP World Ltd-Syncreon Group BV deal were valued at $1,991.2 million and $1,200.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Atlantia SpA-Yunex Traffic BV valued at $1,084.3 million, whereas the deal between Groupe Bruxelles Lambert SA-Affidea BV valued at $1,079.1 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $8,255.3 million and accounted for nearly 25.62% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
