On the other hand, the month of November 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 5 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $598.0 million during that month.
Of the 29 deals, the deal secured between BBVA and Garanti BBVA, was the largest M&A deal in the Turkey, which was valued at $2,575.0 million and was completed on November 15, 2021. The second-largest deal was between State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic and SOCAR Turkey Enerji AS, while the third-largest deal was between Huhtamaki Oyj and Elif Holding. The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic-SOCAR Turkey Enerji AS deal and the Huhtamaki Oyj-Elif Holding deal were valued at $1,300.0 million and $483.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Koc Holding AS-Yapı ve Kredi Bankası A.S valued at $347.2 million, whereas the deal between SOCAR Turkey Enerji AS-Petlim Limancilik Ticaret A.S. valued at $300.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $5,005.2 million and accounted for nearly 85.69% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
