Of the 2,077 deals, the deal secured between Market Bidco Limited and Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the United Kingdom, which was valued at $13,339.6 million and was completed on August 19, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Oppidum Bidco Limited and Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc, while the third-largest deal was between Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd and Element Materials Technology Group Holdings Ltd. The Oppidum Bidco Limited-Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc deal and the Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd-Element Materials Technology Group Holdings Ltd deal were valued at $13,051.6 million and $7,000.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Brookfield Asset Management Inc-HomeServe Plc valued at $5,832.3 million, whereas the deal between Permira Holdings Ltd-Mimecast Ltd valued at $5,800.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $45,023.6 million and accounted for nearly 31.43% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
