Ferques Quarry in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, was the largest mine in France, producing approximately 10.94 million metric tons per annum (mmtpa) of Run-of-Mine (ROM) in 2021. The Ferques Quarry is owned by CB Group. The second largest mine with approximately 1.37 mmtpa of ROM, was the Grand-Champ Quarry located in Brittany. The Grand-Champ Quarry is owned by CMG Holdings Group, Inc..
La Courbaisse Quarry located in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur was the third-largest mine, the Carriere Du Rocheray Quarry located in Auvergne was the fourth-largest mine, and the Trimouns Mine located in Upper Normandy was the fifth-largest mine, with an estimated ROM production of 0.68 mmtpa, 0.5 mmtpa and 0.49 mmtpa, respectively, in 2021. The La Courbaisse Quarry is owned by Vicat SA, the Carriere Du Rocheray Quarry is owned by Rene Apprin & Cie SAS and the Trimouns Mine is owned by Imerys SA.
