Eshidiya Mine in Ma'an, was the largest mine in Jordan, producing approximately 13.01 million metric tons per annum (mmtpa) of Run-of-Mine (ROM) in 2021. The Eshidiya Mine is owned by Jordan Phosphate Mines Co Plc. The second largest mine with approximately 9.87 mmtpa of ROM, was the Arab Potash Project located in Madaba. The Arab Potash Project is owned by Arab Potash Company Plc.
Al Abiad Mine located in Ma'an was the third-largest mine, the Ghur Al Safi Potash Mine located in Kerak was the fourth-largest mine, and the Al Hassa Mine located in Ma'an was the fifth-largest mine, with an estimated ROM production of 7.76 mmtpa, 2.94 mmtpa and 1.43 mmtpa, respectively, in 2021. The Al Abiad Mine is owned by Jordan Phosphate Mines Co Plc, the Ghur Al Safi Potash Mine is owned by Islamic Development Bank;Government of Iraq;Libyan Arab Foreign Investment Co;Social Security Corporation;Kuwait Investment Authority;Arab Mining Co;Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. and the Al Hassa Mine is owned by Jordan Phosphate Mines Co Plc.
