The number of active Internet of Things related job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of Canada increased by 2.04% MoM, and decreased by 3.11% since October 2023, reaching 499 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 168 new Internet of Things related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 22.63% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 158 Internet of Things related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 15.96% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Internet of Things related jobs posted increased by 7.69% and the number of Internet of Things related jobs closed decreased by 25.82%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Internet of Things related jobs posted observed a growth rate of 2.5%, the number of active Internet of Things related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 1.05% and the number of Internet of Things related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 9.48%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Internet of Things related jobs posted stood at 175, number of Internet of Things related jobs closed stood at 193 and number of active Internet of Things related jobs stood at 510.
