The number of active Cloud related job postings driven by Cloud in the Technology and Communications sector of the Middle East and Africa region decreased by 8.76% MoM, and decreased by 12.8% since October 2023, reaching 2,969 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 919 new Cloud related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 3.16% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,204 Cloud related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 2.38% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Cloud related jobs posted increased by 1.1% and the number of Cloud related jobs closed increased by 22.73%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Cloud related jobs posted observed a growth rate of 0.37%, the number of active Cloud related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 4.46% and the number of Cloud related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 7.07%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Cloud related jobs posted stood at 977, the average number of Cloud related jobs closed stood at 1,104 and the average number of active Cloud related jobs stood at 3,277.
