The number of active job postings in the Media sector of the Middle East and Africa region decreased by 0.58% MoM, and increased by 6.24% since October 2023, reaching 1,362 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 347 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 10.1% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 355 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 18.01% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 6.77% and the number of jobs closed increased by 46.69%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 2.21%, the number of active job postings observed a growth rate of 2.04% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 13.62%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 367, number of jobs closed stood at 326 and number of active jobs stood at 1,357.
