Micro-Star International (MSI) is one of the leading Taiwanese brands in gaming, content creation, business & productivity, and Artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) solutions. It has a global presence spanning over 120 countries with its diverse lineup of laptops, graphics cards, monitors, motherboards, desktops, peripherals, servers, Interprocess Communication(IPCs), robotic appliances, and vehicle infotainment and telematics systems.
The various products that the company offers are- Motherboards (Intel and AMD platform Gaming, Content, Creation, and Business Professional Motherboards); Professional Graphics Card ( NVIDIA and AMD platform Graphics Cards, Professional Gaming Gears); Servers (Server system, GPGPU system, Workstation, Storage system, etc.); Desktop computer (Gaming Desktops, Mini Desktops, Cross‐Platform Desktops); Telematics and Automotive Electronics; Laptops; Monitors Gaming Cases, Liquid Cooler, Power Supply and Gaming Chair and AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot).
During FY2021, MSI sold 576,000 units in its domestic sales region as compared to 440,000 units in FY2020. In the export region, it sold around 28,599,000 units in FY2021, as compared to 25,441,000 units in FY2020. It exports mainly to Europe, Asia, and America amongst others. The company sold a total of 29,175,000 units in both markets by the end of FY2021.
Following the new trends in the coming year, a new generation of components will be launched in FY2022 from Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA. The new generation of NVIDIA graphics cards is in short supply, and it is anticipated that the high-end computer market will grow more significantly when more gaming masterpieces are released.
In FY2021, the company announced its plans to develop high‐end gaming Personal Computer (PC) cases that are compatible with its latest Intel / AMD / NVIDIA products to support the needs of the Do It Yourself (DIY) market. It also plans to develop liquid coolers to meet the high core heat dissipation requirements of the current Intel and AMD processors and match MSI gaming cases to provide a complete user experience.
