The number of active job postings in the Leisure and Arts sector of India decreased by 17.91% MoM, and decreased by 32.49% since October 2023, reaching 6,266 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 3,369 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 6.41% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 4,736 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 11.62% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 7.67% and the number of jobs closed increased by 60.49%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 2.49%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 12.28% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 17.08%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 3,096, number of jobs closed stood at 3,805 and number of active jobs stood at 7,972.
