The number of active job postings in the Global Automotive Sector decreased by 3.12% MoM, and decreased by 12.75% since October 2023, reaching 138,695 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 32,137 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 23.14% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 36,599 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 2.1% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 28.94% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 26.95%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 10.76%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 4.44% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 9.94%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 35,030, number of jobs closed stood at 41,314 and number of active jobs stood at 148,812.
