France: Job Trends in the Financial Services Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Financial Services sector of France decreased by 29.15% MoM, and decreased by 42.09% since October 2023, reaching 5,380 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,555 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 19.72% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 3,768 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 11.58% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 40.78% and the number of jobs closed increased by 42.57%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 16.03%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 16.65% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 12.55%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 2,145, number of jobs closed stood at 3,126 and number of active jobs stood at 7,824.
